Shard Collector is a side quest in Dragon Age 3: Inquisition. It initiates by collecting a shard from any locale in Thedas.


A strange shard has been discovered. It appears to be of ancient origin and may be part of a larger set. Further study could reveal more.

  • Objectives:

  1. Investigate shards at the war table (four (Power required).
  2. Travel to the Forbidden Oasis.

  • Boss: n/a
  • Locations & Quest Giver: It initiates by collecting a shard from any locale in Thedas.
  • Rewards: Unlocks Forbidden Oasis
  • Choices & Consequences: n/a
  • Notes: Collect a shard to unlock this quest, then spend four power at the war table to research the shards. This War Table mission needs to be completed in order to access the Forbidden Oasis.
